Tourists were surprised to see a massive hammerhead shark swimming in the ocean but what they saw next was shocking.
Thirty-two tourists were treated to a rare sight. A 12-foot-long hammerhead shark was swimming along the surface of the clear water in the Bahamas and was easily visible from their boat.
But as they watched the shark swimming in the crystal-clear water, something very alarming happened. A small dog suddenly jumped off a dock nearby and to their horror, began to swim toward the huge shark.
Not knowing what else to do, the tourists began shouting and pleading with the dog to return to land. But, despite their desperate cries, the dog keeps fearlessly swimming toward the dangerous shark.
The shark and dog seemingly confront each other in the water and came to some sort of mutual conclusion. Much to the relief of the tourists, the shark miraculously begins to swim away, leaving the dog unharmed.
The dog then swims back to the dock and climbs out of the water. At that point, you can imagine the sighs of relief coming from the tourists once they realize that the dog will be okay and not attacked right before their eyes.
Each February huge hammerheads gather off the coast of Bimini Island in the Bahamas. Although these sharks are usually shy and keep to themselves, they have become an attraction.
Both divers and tourists enjoy trying to catch of glimpse of the sharks but no one had any idea that a dog would be brave enough to get in on the action. Thankfully, the dog was okay because things could have ended much worse that day.
Let us know what you think. Did the dog know the danger it was in? Regardless, it was a very scary sight for all those onlookers. We hope you enjoyed this amazing video. Please feel free to share with your friends.
