Meet Teddy the adorable rescue dog who thinks he’s a human.
Andrea met Teddy after having been dumped at the shelter about 6 months after her previous dog sadly passed away. No one knew why he was surrendered but he apparently had a home before because he was well-trained and had been taken care of.
Teddy was a sweet boy and the two instantly hit it off. Andrea knew he was the dog for her so she adopted him right away and took him home with her.
Once at her house, Teddy made himself comfortable…very comfortable. She had gotten him a dog bed and placed it in her room but he made it clear he rather sleep in her bed with her from his very first night in his new home.
Teddy is sweet and has a quirky personality. It’s as though he doesn’t even know he’s a dog. He acts more like a human and likes to do stuff people do.
He can’t catch a ball. He doesn’t like to play with toys and doesn’t even seem to know what they are. Instead, he carries around soft stuffy babies and lounges on the comfy couch next to his Mom. He also refuses to get out of bed before his morning belly rub.
Teddy is adorable and his Mom lovingly calls him “meatball.” He had a strong body and cropped ears so the shelter assumed he was a pit bull. But his mom had him DNA tested and it revealed that he’s 100% American Bully.
It doesn’t matter what breed Teddy is because he’s 100% loveable even though some people think he looks a little intimidating. He’s super cute and very expressive even if he doesn’t play fetch or carry a tune.
Teddy is happiest when he hangs out with Mom and lounges around the house in comfort. This is probably because he has some separation anxiety but who can blame him after being dumped before?
He is a momma’s boy but loves everyone, including his grandpa. He also does have some storm anxiety but his mom puts him in his jammies and it helps him relax and ride out the storm while glued to her side.
We’re so glad Teddy got such an awesome forever home. Now he and Andrea are best friends He’s the sweetest boy who deserves all the love and kisses. We hope you enjoyed his rescue story. As always, please feel free to share with your friends.
