It was a cold and rainy morning when the puppy showed up at this teenager’s door. His parents said that the dog couldn’t come inside but that didn’t stop him from helping her anyway.
One rainy morning, this teenager heard scratching at the front door. He went to check it out and that’s when he saw a small white puppy shivering on the porch.
His heart was moved to help the tiny dog, and he brought out some dog food for her. She was scared but also hungry so she was soon eating, accepting a gentle pet, and happy to have found a human to help her.
As an animal lover, the teenager wanted to help reunite the dog with her owner. So, he took some pictures and then went inside to see if could find her owner by making a found dog post and sharing images of the puppy on Facebook.
In the meantime, he cleaned up the puppy and made sure she was well-fed. He wanted to take her inside but his parents said, “no.” The family was only allowed one pet at their rental house and they already had a dog of their own.
So, the teenager and his sister hung out with the puppy outside on the porch while they tried to find her owners. They also introduced her to their German Shepherd, Rocky. But, it turns out Rocky is a jealous guy and didn’t like the puppy.
As evening came, the teenager worried about leaving the puppy outside at night. He had plans to take to her to the vet the next day to see if she had a microchip but in the meantime, he worried about where she’d spend the cold night.
He decided to make a little cardboard house to sleep in but that idea didn’t last too long. While his parents slept, he snuck the adorable puppy inside for the night. Of course, she was thrilled and he was getting more attached to her but knew trying to find her owner was the right thing to do.
Then the next day the greatest thing happened. Her owner saw the found dog post on Facebook and reached out. The teenager did some verifying and once he was convinced she was the owner, they met up and the puppy was happily returned.
