Toddlers and small children mimic what the adults around them say and do and act exactly like them. The same is true for kittens and puppies. Tally the husky/malamute/mixed breed pup is no different. Having grown up with cats as a puppy, Tally seems to think she's a cat. In any case, she acts exactly like a cat.
Tally the malamute-cat became Internet-famous when her current owner posted photos of her and her cat-like behaviour on Reddit. The u/DONG_OF_JUSTICE and xlinnea document Tally's catness with some very entertaining and hilarious photos. While this owner is sure that Tally thinks of herself as a cat, the owner has has some suspicions about Tally growing up around cats: “She was raised with cats by her previous owners, and they only gave me puppy pictures without the cats. I can’t prove she was raised with them or that she truly thinks she’s a cat.”
There's also some confusion about Tally's breed. The owner says that, “No, she's not completely husky. She's husky/malamute/little bit of something else. She actually looks and behaves more like a malamute (which are also a bit cat-like), but most people don't know what they are so I go with "husky".”

This is the photo that made Tally famous. She looks like she's silently judging you from down there, doesn't she?
Her default sitting position makes her look like a very large cat.
Give her belly rubs at your own risk!
According to the owner, Tally isn't as enthusiastic about belly rubs as most dogs are. The owner says, “Cat fact of the day: You might think that she'd like you to pet her belly. You would be wrong. She'll stare at you and sigh a lot until you stop.”
Like any good cat, Tally loves sunbathing.
If I fits, I sits.
This is the second photo that made Tally famous because it really showcases just how much Cat™ she is!
Looks like Tally really loves her box!
On her off time, Tally likes to survey her vast kingdom and judge all who pass.
Her owner says, “Forgot to mention that she's almost completely mute. She likes to lie there, observing people and silently judging them all day.”
This was Tally when she was a puppy. Wasn't she so fluffy?
Tally's current owner adopted Tally from her previous owners when Tally was 2 years old. The new owner got these photos from the old owners.
Back then, Tally was so tiny, some of her stuffed toys were bigger than her.
Look at how fluffy and chonky she was!
Tally looks extra smol and extra floffy here!
Nom-nom time!
Then it's nap time with her teddy bear fren.
But this little cutie could also get into trouble. And lots of it.
A little older but still fluffy!
Tally is much older now but still looks fluffy and chonky! And very very pretty!
She is curious but lazy so she'll just turn her head around to see what you're up to.
She may be the cutest, but she didn't outgrow her capacity to get into endless trouble.
She's a bit of a norty doggo. This is her helping her owners finishing the last chips in the packet!
Tally also tries to sneakily disobey orders. She isn't allowed to go upstairs but she will come up very slowly, one stair at a time.
“She's not allowed to go upstairs, but she'll try to sneak up one stair at a time. You can usually tell how badly she wants you to come downstairs by how far she's gone up the stairs. This is about 3/10 urgency.“”
She also begs for food and loves treatos!
No matter where she is, she will come running over to try to take your food too.
"Maybe Grandpa will share his food with poor hungry Tally?"
She's gonna steal your food if you're not looking.
And stare at you until you share!
Here is Tally in a sea of her toys.
“After we got her spayed, she'd be moody and snuggled with a bunch of stuffed toys for a week.”
Tally has chosen this sofa as her own spot.
“This is her sofa. She claimed it by shedding on it and by sneakily sleeping on it every night (she wasn't allowed to) until we let her have it.”
She is also quite the adventure dog-cat and goes with biking with her owner. And pulls on the bike all the time!
She also has endless tolerance for her owner's shenanigans because she loves them very much. This is her with her family.
Tally is good at balancing things on her head. Sort of.
Here she is dressed up in a hat, looking very cool.
Why wouldn't you smush her cheeks, they're indeed very smushable!
She loves her family very much and will tolerate them burying her up to the head in the snow.
“We like to bury her in snow. She likes to reward herself by stealing our food.” Sounds like a good deal to us!
When she's not playing, she loves sleeping.
She's got some very funny sleeping poses.
This is the basic "sleeping on the floor".
Then there's the belly up position for maximum airing, essentiall for furry puppers.
Sleeping under the dining table is always a good idea because when it's mealtime, you're already there!
Sleeping wherever her owners is one of her favourite things to do.
Let's not forget "curling up like a shrimp on a sofa".
And this is by far the zaniest one. This can't possible be comfortable, can it?
No matter what, Tally is a sweet, adventurous, cuddly, adorable and absolutely quirky little pupperino!
Have you ever heard of a dog acting like a cat? Tally is surely a very rare type of dog. She offers the best of both dogs and cats all in one fluffy package!
