When Penny ended up at the shelter, the shelter contacted her family to let them know that she was there. But sadly, they no longer wanted her.
Then someone put a stray hold on her and had until 4 pm to show up to adopt her. It was still possible that her adoption could fall through so in the meantime, Rocky Kanaka picked up Penny and took her out for an adventure.
The first stop on their outing was a trip to Starbucks for a Puppuccino. Sweet Penny was stoked to get a treat but wasn’t sure what she was supposed to do with it. She’d rather get loved on than lap up the sweet cold cream.
Then they went back to the shelter and waited for her potential adopter to show up and finalize her adoption. While they waited, Rocky killed time walking dogs and helping clean the shelter floor. As the minutes ticked by, he began to worry.
Then Miguel and Amanda finally showed up with smiles on their faces, much to his relief. They were happy to be there, and they were excited to meet the adorable Penny for the first time.
So, they waited while Rocky went back to the kennels to get Penny. She was so excited that it was as if she knew that her forever home was waiting just down the hall for her. Finally, they saw her, and the cute little dog ran to them and lapped up all the love they showered on her.
After that, the party began. It was off to the pet store with her new family where Rocky bought her everything she touched. But it seemed that Penny had never been shopping before. They started helping her out by showing her the toys.
But Penny now renamed Goose was a quick learned. She soon picked out a new bed. It didn’t take Goose long to learn what she liked. Once they were done, she walked out the door with her new mom and dad and an entire cart full of doggy swag.
