Rescued From The Streets This Smiling Pup Is Now The Happiest Dog In The World

From the smile on her sweet face, one would never know what a hard start in life this happy pup once had.

She lived alone on the streets of Fresno, California. Without anyone to love and care for her, she got a severe case of mange and also had a hernia. One day, she was taken to a shelter but wasn’t adopted. Her time at the shelter was soon up when suddenly everything changed.

Fresno Bully Rescue learned about the dog and decided to save her. At the time, she wasn't in good health and her mange was so bad she smelled like rotting flesh. Yet, despite her suffering, she still found the courage to wag her tail.

Fresno Bully Rescue put her up for adoption and that’s when Amy Matsushima first saw a video of her at her first vet appointment. She fell in love with her sweet face and knew she had to meet her, she said:

"When I came across her photo on the rescue's web, I couldn't believe it. She seemed unhappy, but she was wagging her tail and flashing her little smile, and it struck me square in the heart. I have to meet this puppy.”

After meeting, she adopted Shortcake who was soon on her way back to good health. Her mange healed up and the dog transformed into a happy pup with one unique quality-an adorably contagious smile.

Now she flashes her adorable smile all the time. On car rides, around the house, and even when she doesn’t want to go for a walk. She also has her own Instagram where she shares her smile and spreads happiness to everyone who sees her.

From suffering street dog to the sweetest most chill pup ever, this sweet girl now knows she’s safe and secure. She loves to play and hang out but she still doesn’t like to go on walks and will try to use her cute smile to get out of them.

Please spread the joy by sharing her adorable video with your family and friends.

I loved your video of Shortcake and those bully smiles are the best. When I had to put my Cowgirl doyI was never the same for years. I just couldn’t go through that again but now I have have two huge American bully brothers that are my grand sons crazy and lovable and my four grandchildren have two best friends. Keep on smiling Shortcake
