The courtroom case you’re about to see is one of the most viral moments to have ever aired on “Judge Judy.”

It all began with a heartbroken man who filed charges against a woman, claiming her dog was actually his dog that had been stolen from him. The woman said she purchased Baby Boy, the small white fluff-ball of a pooch, outside a shopping center for a mere $50. The man, on the other hand, said Baby Boy belonged to him. “This is like my child,” he cried.

The defendant showed Judge Judy a stack of photos and paperwork to prove her case, insisting Baby Boy was rightfully hers. Judy felt something was off, but she couldn’t quite put her finger on it.

In a bold and emotional move, Judge Judy ultimately decided that the only way to identify Baby Boy’s one true owner was for the dog to do it himself! She instructed the defendant to bring Baby Boy into the courtroom, then let put him down on the floor and see who he would run to first.
