It doesn’t matter how little the amount of leftover food you have lying around; your dog will probably want to eat it!

In this video, there is a bowl on a table with some leftover cake icing at the bottom. Gretchen the German Shepherd is polite enough not to grab the entire bowl off the table, but she isn’t very happy about her mom telling her that she can’t eat it.

She whines and barks, trying to convince her mom that if it’s good enough for people, then it’s good enough for dogs, too!

Gretchen puts her head next to her mom’s lap and looks up with pleading eyes, hoping that being cute will have better results than being loud. No such luck.

When Gretchen seems to be distracted by something on the other side of the room, Mom decides to remind Gretchen about the icing, and she immediately goes back to looking at the bowl with mournful longing.

If you love cake, be sure to share this video!
