Claude had never been a pet before but all that was about to change.
Claude the greyhound needed adoption. A rescue in Tasmania had taken him in and now they were looking for the perfect family to give him a forever home.
A family was looking for a rescue and had been learning about greyhounds, so they decided to go out and meet Claude. Turned out that the dog was super sweet, and the family fell in love with him and immediately decided to adopt him.
They took Claude home but rescuing him was a new experience for both the dog and the human. Claude had never been a pet before and had never lived inside a home. Everything was new to him, and he didn’t even know his name.
He didn’t know what to do indoors, he had to be carried down the stairs and didn’t know what to do with himself inside. But he was such a good boy and happy to be with his new family and his new kitty friend.
Slowly Claude began to relax and get comfortable with his new family. He was a super loving boy and had a unique personality all his own. He was even gentle when his new baby brother was born and never gave anyone a moment of worry.
But Claude’s favorite thing to do was run. And, run fast. All his family had to ask was if he wanted to run and he leaps to his feet and races to the door. He loved to go to the beach or park and let himself fly.
He is very fast and, in his Zen, while he runs. He is majestic to watch and certainly, a gift to behold to watch him. Of course, he outruns all the other dogs who can’t do much except watch him race by.
Claude is such a lucky boy to have found a family that loves him so much but also embraces all that makes him so special. He truly has become part of the family but also holds on to the part of himself that makes him so unique.
