Corgis are small but mighty and these adorable puppies learning to face the world are no exception.
Kansas the Corgi has 5 Pembroke puppies. And even though she’s a busy working dog who lives on a farm, she takes plenty of time out to care for her puppies and give them a bath like all good mothers do.
But since Kansas is also a working girl, she must leave the puppies to check on the other animals at the ranch. This gives the determined little pupils plenty of time to begin exploring their surroundings and leaving the safety of the warm puppy pile.
It isn’t long before the puppies are walking around their room on their short, little legs. The stocky puppies are already getting bold and learning to climb on the furniture, such as the coffee table but roll off just as often.
But the busiest, boldest puppy named Otis has a soft spot that distracts him from his adventures. When his less-than-adventurous little brother, Charlie, begins to cry because he’s left behind, Otis quickly returns to comfort his little brother.
Out of all the puppies, Otis is the leader of the pack. He is always the first to try something new. But all it takes is one little cry from tiny Charlie, and sweet Otis runs right back to his side.
But even though Otis is the leader, Mom is still in charge. She begins teaching her puppies important things, like how to climb the stairs so they can get up on the soft bed. Charlie is having trouble though but no worries, Otis is right there to give him a paw.
When it comes to Corgis, don’t let their small size fool you. Inside their compact body, is the heart of a herding dog. The Pembroke Welsh Corgi is strong, athletic, and lively. They are hardworking yet make excellent pets.
They truly are big dogs in a small dog package and grow up to be about 27-30 pounds. Despite being low to the ground, they are quick and agile. They come in many colors, such as red, sable, fawn, black, and tan, with or without white markings.
If you want a sweet yet fearless little dog that is also independent, the Corgi is for you. They also make great watchdogs but do need lots of activity and time with their human family. We hope you enjoyed these cute puppies. As always, feel free to share with your friends.
