This duck rescued from a hoarding situation becomes obsessed with her giant dog big brother.
Pam, the duck was rescued from an animal hoarding situation. When her rescuer saw her for the first time, she was very small, scared, and had been living in a basement. Her new mom could only take one duck home that day and she chose Pam.
As soon as she got Pam home, she put her in the bathtub. Once in the water, Pam began to come to life and for the first time, she learned what it meant to be a duck. Pam dunked and bobbed in the water, cleaning away the dirt from her past.
Pam was timid at first and would dunk her head away when her mom tried to pet her. But, she was soon eating lettuce out of her new mom’s hands. After that, she became a loving lap duck who loves to give hugs.
It turned out that Pam loves to cuddle. She makes happy sounds all day long, telling her mom how happy she is that she saved her. She loves her new life so much. But, she also adores something else-a giant mastiff dog named George.
Pam can’t get enough of George and follows him around all day. She goes everywhere George goes and likes to cuddle with him, too. She even talks to George in her happy way. In fact, she loves George so much that sometimes he needs a break from all the attention she gives him.
Another thing that Pam loves almost as much as her mom and George is the rain. Give her a puddle filled with lettuce and she is the happiest duck in the world. Her mom says she wishes she could be as happy as Pam is when she plays in the rain.
Another thing that Pam enjoys is playing in the kiddy pool. Of course, she has her own pool but she’s taken over the kids, too. The family has given up on keeping Pam out of the pools and now shares them all.
From a forlorn duck living in a dark basement, Pam has truly come to life in her new home. The entire neighborhood knows her story. She is a strong girl and truly an example of what it’s like to overcome.
We hope you enjoyed Pam’s sweet rescue story. As always, please feel free to share with your friends.
