This abandoned puppy was thrown over a fence and could no longer walk. But once she learned she was wanted, she began to dance.
When Diane of FART (Foster, Adopt, Rescue, and Transport) agreed to foster this tiny puppy named Apple, she was told she couldn’t walk. Apple had been thrown over a fence and the extent of her injuries were unknown.
But when Apple arrived at Diane’s home, she could walk in tiny tight circles and only in one direction. She was weak and unsteady on her feet. But then, Diane she saw her wag her tiny tail and it was then that Diane knew that Apple hadn’t lost her will to live.
Turned out, Apple was a fighter. She never stopped fighting to survive. So, Diane helped her and soon Apple was reaching some milestones, such as being able to eat her dinner unassisted.
Determined to help Apple walk again, Diane made a sling for Apple and they trained 6 times a day. Apple loved her sling and was always willing to walk with support. But soon, Apple was able to walk with Diane only supporting her chin.
And, then, the most amazing thing happened. Apple began to walk on her own and from there, her walk turned into a prance. From then on out, Apple danced her way through life, so happy to be alive.
Her little prance and strut brought joy to Diane. Apple was a resilient girl and such a fighter. She is a once-in-a-lifetime dog, which is why Diane was a foster failure.
Because of Diane’s love, Apple is now living her life to the fullest. She embraces all her challenges and never gave up. Even when she was injured and weak, the tiny puppy never stopped trying to be all that she could be.
Apple is an inspiration to Diane and everyone she meets. She embraces life to the fullest and doesn’t let anything stop her. We hope you enjoyed her rescue story. As always, please feel free to share with your friends.
