Zia the pregnant pit bull was discovered shaking in a kennel at a Central Valley, California shelter when she was rescued so that she wouldn’t have to give birth at the shelter.
She was taken to her new home, where she soon began to nest and prepare for the arrival of her puppies. Once her puppies arrived, Zia could finally relax and give all her attention to her new babies.
Her puppies were born adorable and healthy and were soon doing all the normal puppy things under their mom’s watchful eye. One day they would make great pets but for now, they got a lot of love from their foster mom.
The puppies quickly grew and were soon ready to go outside for the first time. Watching them run and play in the grass and sunshine for the first time can’t help but warm the heart. It is also a little bittersweet because it means they are almost ready to leave their mom and be put up for adoption.
Soon, the puppies were taken to Fresno Bully Rescue, where they were put up for adoption. It didn’t take long before new families were meeting their new adorable puppy for the first time. All because one dog was rescued, now many families opened their hearts and homes to a new furry friend.
Of course, the puppies were happy to be with their new family because of all the hard work their foster mom put in making sure they would grow up to be healthy, happy, and secure in the knowledge that they could trust humans.
Watching the puppies grow up and eventually be adopted is heartwarming. We’re so happy that Zia captured the attention of her new mom and got to deliver her puppies in such a safe and nurturing environment.
There are so many great dogs in shelters that are just waiting for someone to love them and take them home. Please share this story to spread awareness in support of shelter dogs everywhere.
