- Traffic cams offer a bird’s eye view of vehicles traveling down the highway. But in this case, the bird’s eye view is literally happening.
Traffic cameras are everywhere. These eyes in the sky are used for several purposes depending upon where they are placed.
For instance, red light cameras can snap a picture of a car and issue a ticket if you run a red light. The cameras used on freeways can be used to alert the Department of Transportation or the Police of accidents, hazards, traffic, and road conditions, and even monitor the weather.
Cameras also help manage traffic flow and help cities time their traffic signals. Their automation helps with the enforcement of traffic safety laws and can be a deterrent to speeding and other violations.
In some states, in the event of an accident, you can subpoena the traffic camera video from the person who owns the camera, such as the city government or a private company, making them handy if the accident is not your fault.
But sometimes the traffic cam video can be affected by circumstances outside the camera’s control. Such as this hilarious incident that occurred at a traffic cam that was monitoring a busy highway in Curitiba, Brazil.
It was a normal day, and the camera was doing its job of monitoring the traffic on the highway below. The weather was great, and the view was perfect until a little visitor decided to peek into the camera lens reminding us that it’s not only cameras that have eyes in the sky.
It seemed that a curious parrot decided to take a break on the camera and peek inside the lens. And the bird didn’t just look one time, the parrot took several looks at the camera to see what it could see.
The traffic cam video is adorable and certainly not something that you see every day. The curious parrot is super cute, and we can only hope that it visits again. We hope you enjoyed this funny video. As always, please feel free to share with your friends.
