One day, Rescue From The Hart got a call about an abused dog. When they responded, they discovered a dog that had been starved for months. The dog was dying, her organs were shutting down, and she had been through unimaginable suffering.
She was skin and bones and things looked almost hopeless. But, despite her condition, her rescue team promised her they would not give up on her. They provided the medical care that she needed and just as important, showed her love.
They named the dog Angel and began to slowly nurse her mind and body back to health. She was so thin she lacked the strength to even stand. Angel would need a miracle but Rescue From The Heart hoped they could give her one.
She was weak, unable to walk, and only could eat the tiniest amounts of food but miraculously, she began to get stronger. It was not too long before she summoned the strength able to sit, then stand, and eventually she was able to make friends with a dog named Lilly.
Angel was a miracle yet despite the cruelty she endured, she didn’t lose her spirit. Inside her broken body lived a dog with a survivor’s heart. She continued to get well until her last rib was hidden and her last sore was healed.
Thanks to her rescuers, her mind and body slowly healed. She now had a new life. Her abuse was a thing of the past and as she moved forward, she seemed to put those bad memories behind her and look forward to the future.
She gained weight, gained friends, and eventually gained a loving forever home of her own. From near death to flourishing, Angel had a strong enough will to not only survive but thrive in her new life.
